Minutes from the October 18, 2005 Meeting
Awbrey Butte Formation Meeting
Liz O’Connell opened the meeting and asked that the
minutes from the Sept. 22nd meeting be reviewed and approved.
The motion was made and seconded that the minutes be approved.
Jim Swarm went through each article of the proposed bylaws.
A question was raised about the quorum minimum of 10 people, but a motion for change was not made.
A motion was made and seconded that the Board be made up of 7 individuals. The motion was carried.
A question was raised about where to send additional membership forms: To Liz O’Connell, 2527 NW O’Brien Ct.
A few minor changes (mostly typos) were recommended and accepted.
An addition was made to Article 8, section 2 stating that a conflict of interest should force the conflicted members to recuse themselves from participation.
Jim emphasized the importance of the role of the secretary to make an accurate recap of Board Meeting discussions.
The question was raised about the board’s liability. It was determined that liability insurance was prohibitive and that the best insurance was responsible behavior.
It was moved and seconded to approve the bylaws as amended. The motion was carried.
Liz asked for volunteers for a nominating committee. The volunteers were: Fred Gientke, Nancy Elkins, Joe Jezukewicz.

• Petition submitted

The process:
• A “change of use” has been filed
• Traffic studies are being done
• City will appoint a hearings officer
• 120 days allowed in the process
• Letter to be sent to Debrah Croom w/city planning
• Liz will send out e-mail w/ project number etc.
• The applicant will make presentation
• Leslie covered the timing of the processA general discussion followed
